Reflection

The courses, Capstone project, and efforts to obtain points for the Global Learning Medallion have stretched my mind and educated me on subjects that are now my passions. Being an Alternative Breaks Site Leader not only confirmed my love for serving my community but also showed me that I have a passion for administrating and leading. The time I spent learning about Israel through Passages was an eye-opening experience and showed me how religion, geopolitical environment, and history can completely change your way of life. I definitely finished college as a different person and feel more equipped to serve the world. As a Business major I have learned how the world economies work and influence cultures and way of life. As I finish the undergrad chapter of my life and step into a new one, I can thank you Global Learning Medallion Program for the opportunities it has given me.

This course introduced me to the basics of marketing in the business world. I learned that marketing strategies change depending on who your target market is and how they best respond to your strategies. Marketing execution differ depending on the region of the world you are working in.

Strategic Management

I took this course my senior year of undergrad. It was a capstone integration of real organizational situations. It taught me decision making that is applied to business/corporate level strategy concepts, firm performance and global citizenship.

International Financial Management

This course was very interesting because we discussed real world events where global economies changed the direction a country was headed. I learned that international business and politics are clearly correlated.
